Earn while you learn in an apprenticeship

Jodie, an Employability Adviser at Inspira talks about her journey from Business Administration Apprentice to her current role. Jodie successfully gained a Level 2 & 3 in Business Administration along with a Level 6 in Advice and Guidance.

We asked Jodie questions like:

  • Why did you want to do an apprenticeship?
  • How did you find out about the apprenticeship at Inspira?
  • What did your apprentice involve and what qualification did you obtain at the end?
  • How has your career progressed following the apprenticeship?
  • What advice would you give to anyone looking to do an apprenticeship?

Apprenticeships offer a unique opportunity for individuals to earn and gain vital work experience while still being able to study. Check out our Apprenticeship Guide 2023 for more info.

It’s a common misconception that apprenticeships are just for school leavers or young people, however, there’s no upper age limit. Remember, you do need to be 16 or over to enrol on an apprenticeship. Making it a perfect route for anyone looking to upskill themselves in an existing skill or a new one altogether. While apprentices receive the National Minimum Wage, there are different rates of pay. It will depend on your age and what year of the apprenticeship you are in, for more info click here.
