A group of young people from Fukushima in Japan met some NCSers on Friday (9th of August) and despite the language barrier they all engaged in a series of games and learnt a little about each others home life and culture.

The 20 students came from nine different high schools in the Fukushima prefecture. During their week in the UK, the students spent two days in Cumbria, visiting Sellafield and spending a day at West Lakes and the National Nuclear College with the young people on NCS.

The visit was arranged by the Happy Road Net which is a not-for-profit organisation aimed at revitalising the Fukushima area and supported by Tokyo Electric Power Company.
