Stella Barth

Where were you last employed?

I last worked for a company called Adviza as a SEN Advisor in Schools, Colleges and Out of County placements. The company covered Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Thames Valley.

Why did you decide to join Inspira?

I moved to Cumbria and when I was job searching I did research on similar companies to the one I had left, I liked Inspira’s website and the company profile.

What do you most like about your job?

I like variety and I like meeting people – everyone is different and has their own story. It’s good to feel that you are making a difference to people and giving the information, advice and guidance which helps them to achieve their goals. I also enjoy working as part of a team because we all support each other.

What are you looking forward to achieving with Inspira?

Continuing to help others by improving my work, getting better and getting to grips with the paperwork!

My inspirational story

One of the first people I interviewed was someone I really admired, she had worked her way up from a position of having no qualifications when she left school to achieving management status, before she left to look after her children. At her appointment, we focused on updating her CV and identified some training courses she could do to improve her digital skills so that she could re-enter the workplace. Following the completion of the training courses, she was all set to apply for work. I believe the people you meet and interview also teach you new skills, and her positive attitude was an inspiration.

Words to live by

One of the things I remember from school lessons is; ‘To thine own self be true’, and from my favourite singer/songwriter ‘There’s a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in’.
