Victoria grew up in Clitheroe and attended local schools before moving to Leicester to complete a degree in English Literature. On graduating from university, she returned to Lancashire where she began working as a Marketing Manager. Following this she decided to return to university to gain a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education. It was a this point that her career in education and training was launched.

Her first post was teaching for Lancashire Adult Education, where she was asked to specialise in careers support for students on completion of their courses. This lead to her qualifying as a careers adviser and gaining a position working at PA for Connexions Manchester. Her specialism in careers guidance was further developed when she was selected to support Manchester City Council with careers support and guidance both internally and externally.

A relocation to Cumbria with her family resulted in her gaining a new position working for Cumbria County Council as Curriculum Leader and Skills for Life Manager. Following a successful period for the council she left to work for the University of Cumbria as Project Manager and specialist graduate careers adviser. To gain further experience in training and development she secured a post as an Offender Manager for The National Probation Service where she delivered specialist group and individual intervention skills.

Her current role covers Lancashire with the implementation and delivery of several successful contracts. She is widely known throughout the area in the education and careers sector and sits on several strategic boards and groups. She is passionate about ensuring that all adults and young people, regardless of personal circumstances, are offered an equal opportunity to succeed in work and life.
