Blackpool Transport inspires student through assemblies

With Inspira’s help, Blackpool Transport gave school assemblies around anti-social behaviour on their vehicles and the impact that it has on everybody in the community. Blackpool Transport was also able to help schools look at the career paths available for their young people. As well as explaining what career paths are available to them, not just in the transport industry but in all industries. Helping them make informed choices about their future.

“As an Enterprise Adviser, I do feel that working with Inspira and the Lancashire Careers Hub has brought a lot of benefits into Blackpool Transport... We do have unfortunately anti-social behaviour going on within our network but by going to schools and talking to the children we feel that it has reduced anti-social behaviour.”

Hear from Nichola an Enterprise Coordinator who has been with Inspira for four years and is currently working on the Lancashire Careers Hub, covering Fylde and Wyre schools and business:

“It’s about going into businesses and finding out what their needs are and why they want to get involved with the network. So, if they’ve got a particular theme such as girls getting into a certain industry. We would target such things with schools and target girls to get into that organisation... I would say to any company that’s looking to get involved in The Lancashire Careers Hub, get involved with Give an Hour to support mock interviews or speed networking. However, if they want to benefit themselves as a business it’s giving us that information and intelligence so that we can support them with that journey.”
